Concussed.

I roll over and hit my head against the cement wall that my bed is next to. I hit my head hard enough to give myself a massive black eye, that is a bit swollen shut and a slight concussion.

I get up and go to this large building. It's a little run down, but in the way that shows it's been in use for years. It's a home for elderly people. It is also apparently where I stay...like I have a room in the back or something. I go to the nurse (who is actually one of the Medical personnel from where I work in real life) She gives me a bag of ice and makes me sit down. The concussion is making my stomach feel weird, I have a headache and I'm dizzy.

I get bored so I walk around a bit. I go into another room where a bunch of elderly people are playing cards and chess. One of the nurses asks me what happened and I tell her. She is not surprised that I managed to injure myself, even sleeping. I leave and head outside, thinking that the fresh air will make me feel a little better.

I'm sitting on the front steps and I see Dr. House and Dr. Wilson (yes, from the TV show, House, MD) are standing under the front porch roof, out of the rain. There is a girl, about 10 years old, she is standing in a puddle. She says that she knows she should go inside, but she can't make herself do it. Apparently she is a patient of House's.

House and Wilson notice me and are concerned that my concussion isn't getting any better, despite the fact that it's been hours since it happened. I try to tell them that I'm fine, but I'm not very believable.

Me and Robert Pattinson

I'm on a cruise, which is on a large airplane or possible a space ship. I comment to someone that it is the slowest flight ever, or we are going to the moon. We've been on the ship for a few days.

There is an art/painting competition. I can't paint, but I go to watch. My friend Laura from elementary/high school is there. Robert Pattinson is also there. He seems to be uncomfortable with the amount of attention he is receiving, like he doesn't want to be famous.

I don't love him, but he is a mystery that I want to solve. The people I'm with think he's conceited and shallow, and I tend to agree, but he still fascinates me for some unknown reason.

We dock and are allowed to go off ship. We're at a sea side town. It's a little run down the further inland, but near the beach it's all hotels and nice restaurants. I am on top of a hotel building and I see Rob walking down the beach. He is alone. I think about how great of a picture that would be; not Rob, but just a solitary figure on a sunny beach with the waves on one side and the rock face on the other. Like he is the last man on earth.

I follow him, and he doesn't seem to notice me. I don't really want him to know I'm following. He goes into this cave, the opening is really small. I go after him, but the fit is really tight and I'm afraid of the tide coming in. So I wait by the outside, in case I have to warn Rob about the tide or something.

He comes out and sees me and smiles. I ask him what it's like inside and he says that I can go in and see for myself. I tell him that isn't going to happen.

We walk through the streets of the city together. We don't talk a lot, which is okay with both of us. I try to take a picture of him, he sees me and smiles. I tell him that I want a picture of just him being himself, not trying to be anything. I want to figure out who he is aside from all the headlines and rumors. He then tells me that he smiled for the picture because he never gets to just smile for pictures, he always has to pose or look a certain way. He just wanted a normal picture. I tell him I can do that and take a picture of him smiling.

We're at a poetry event in the evening. Another girl is trying to hit on him, flirt with him, because he is who he is. He reads a poem, but stops before the end. He wrote it himself, but only I know that, I also know it's unfinished. I stand up and finish the poem for him, so now it's our poem. He smiles at me and the other girl stops trying to get his attention.

Then I'm alone at a run down train station. Everything is rusted and dirty. I find someone who works at the station, I ask if they've seen Rob. They say that he's at the courthouse. The train rushes past.

I go to the courthouse. He is up, testifying as a witness, he is cocky and sure of himself. It's really just a cover because he doesn't want to be there, he doesn't want to say anything. Rob looks over at the judge and essentially tells the judge his resume, like Rob knows everything about the judge. It's Rob's way of trying to take the focus off himself. The judge smirks and then flips it back on Rob, telling everyone Rob's history.

After the hearing, I'm with Rob in the hall. He tells me that he tries to be a mystery because everyone already knows too much about him. I tell him that I can understand that.

The end.

Babies

I'm in the basement of a church or a house, hard to tell. I'm with Katielette from the Shaytards videos. She is holding her baby (Rocktard). There is a puppy in the room with us.

I comment that it would be nearly insane to have a puppy and a baby at the same time.

She then asks how my mom is doing. I don't really want to answer the question. My mom is taking care of my one year old brother and is pregnant again, but on the last ultrasound the doctor saw a cyst or a growth in the brain of the baby, near its eyes. We don't know what the baby will be like when it's born, or if it will live.

Katielette is looking at Rocktard and talking about her post partem depression and now I have to worry about her too. She then looks up at me, like she didn't mean to tell me that.

Hot Air Balloon

I'm in a hot air balloon with this other guy, who in my dream is a friend. We see this group of old guys, like in their 70's skydiving. Two of the guys (of the 6) are going too fast. They open their parachute and then let it collapse and then open it again. The other four are trying to keep the two from crashing into the ground.

My friend and I in the hot air balloon are falling fast with them. We let ourselves drop when they do and then slow our descent when they slow. We start to come close to the ground and we're going to fast. At this speed we will surely die if we hit the ground. My friend finally slows the balloon enough to keep us from crashing too hard.

We go back to the apartment we're renting. I see my landlord and talk to him for a bit. He tells me that the person that looks after my friend and I wants to see us because he heard about our stunt with the hot air balloon.

My friend and I go inside.

While he is getting yelled at, because he was flying recklessly, I am in the bathroom. I sit on the edge of the bathtub and listen to the argument for a while and then I find a box of hair dye in the cupboard. I dye my hair black. It looks really cute.

Double Feature: Dead Bodies and Elephants

*Internet was out Saturday, so these two are from Friday night*

Dream 1-

I'm with two guys at the house I grew up in, back in Minnesota. It's autumn and we're in the back yard. The leaves from the trees are very thick on the ground, like two feet deep. One of the guys opens a trunk he has with him and takes out body parts. It's semi-decomposed and covered in goo. We use large metal clips to fasten two halves of the torso together. We start to reassemble the body.

The neighbor looks over and waves at me. I wave back and try to look nonchalant. As the neighbor starts to come over, we cover the body parts in leaves so he doesn't notice. One of the guys puts a pumpkin on top of the pile of leaves.

The neighbor asks what we're doing. We tell him that we're carving pumpkins. We're freaking out that the neighbor will realize what we're doing. He believes our story about the pumpkin and leaves. One of the guys I'm with stands up and accidently puts his foot in the body. He is grossed out at having his foot in the torso of the dead body.

Dream 2-

I'm out in the desert, like the one in Nevada/California. I see an elephant and I run behind a rock to act as protection incase the elephant decides to charge. The elephant decides that I'm all right and "chooses" me. I am the only person that can work with the elephant.

I take her to an elephant sanctuary that is for elephants that have been hurt or abandoned or abused or sick. My elephant likes to walk with my hand held in the end of it's trunk. She trusts me and I trust her.

Somehow we get separated and I find her in one of the rooms used for when the elephants are panicked and can't calm down. I reach through the bars and put my hand in her trunk. She is calm and I make one of the people working there let her out. I explain that my elephant needs to have physical touch, otherwise she gets scared.

I pass another room that holds a new elephant. This one has had it's trunk removed and it's a very sad thing. I don't know how to help it.

The end.

Oil Spill

*Due to not having any time on Friday, this dream is from Thursday night*

The oil spill in the Gulf is affecting the Alaskan coast. Especially an Indian Reservation that I am at. I have been working with people there to help clean it up and make sure that the people living there are safe. The reservation used to be a WWII German concentration camp, so all the buildings still remain. It's a very sad place because of all the history. It's snowy and cold.

My dad is there, he came up on a big tour bus. I'm showing him around, telling him about all the buildings. All the people that live there have a very strong sense of community and are determined to live good lives despite where they live. I tell him that the community is stronger here than in the Indian Reservations I went to in South Dakota. We walk past an elaborate church and there are kids sledding on the hill in front of it.

My dad and I go into the grocery store to get out of the cold. I find a specific type of trail mix that we used to get when I was little. We get a bag of it and go back to the tour bus.

More people get on the bus.

The end.

Geographically Incorrect Bike Race

I'm part of a bike race, for some charity I'm sure. The halfway point has an expo type thing going on, with booths and stuff to buy. I run into one of my friends, Heather, she is mailing letters to friends. She wants to mail them from different places. So goes over and asks a little boy if he could please mail a letter from Hollywood and HIghland for her. The little boy turns and with much more attitude than a 9 year old should tells her no. His much nicer twin brother comes over and says he would because it seems important to Heather. I tell Heather that she must have asked his evil twin first.

Then my dad and I went over to a bike/sports shop to look for a part for my bike. (The bike I ride to work every day, a 1983 Panasonic Sport, it's awesome) I'm looking around for a new seat post because mine keeps slipping down gradually. (Which is true)

I see those weird shoes that have the toes....they're all sporty or something. All the shoes that are on the table have six toes and I can't figure out why.

I go back out because the race is about to start again. I'm looking at a map so I can show Heather and my dad the route. The map is of the midwest, but it's wrong (but in my dream, I do not realize it). Minnesota is in the middle and there are states on either side, but no great lakes. North and South Dakota are to the east of Minnesota. The route for the bike race goes from the (according to the backwards map) North East corner of North Dakota, across the top, then down to South Eastern Minnesota.

We all get to our bikes and start. I end up riding with a group of team members that all have matching yellow jerseys.

The end.

Double Feature: Ferrets and Speech Competitions

Dream 1

I'm looking at a house to buy with some friends. It's a great house; wood floors, lots of windows, wrap around porch, set in woods. There's only one problem, apparently the woods are highly populated with ferrets. The man showing me the house told me that there were around 10,000 ferrets in a 4 mile radius.

He left me so that I could look at the house. Everywhere I went there were ferrets. I sat down on the couch and like ten appeared. They were everywhere. One pooped in my shoe, which was annoying.

I really liked the house though, and was trying to figure out if I could stand living withe the ferrets. I think I passed on the house.

Dream 2

I was at a school for a speech competition. My speech was on treating people equally, loving people, that sort of thing.....bordering on Gay rights. I just had a little tri-fold poster board for my visual. All the other girls had their presentations in metal briefcases that they were handcuffed to. They were all in business suits and looking like they were about to give the annual report for the world or something.

I seemed to be very unprepared, but I wasn't worried. I knew that my speech was important.

Finders Keepers

I'm walking with a group of people through this abandoned cattle barn. We're looking for a cat, and there are a lot of cats in the barn. The specific cat we are looking for is the star of a cat food commercial. The only way we can find the cat is by listening for its signature meow. As I'm looking I find this really fluffy, gray kitten just sitting all alone. So I pick it up and it cuddles against me.

My first thought is to name it 'Smokey' but then I realize that everyone with a fluffy, gray cat names it 'Fluffy' so then I remember that I've always wanted a gray cat and that naming it 'Dorian' would be hilarious. (Dorian Gray). So I name him Dorian.

Then, I'm in the grocery store, with Dorian still in my arms. I have to buy him kitten food and milk. At the check-out is Klaus, the cashier. (He is actually the cashier I see every morning before work, in real life). He and I talk about Dorian and how cute he is.

The end.

Point of interest, this is the most normal dream I've had in a LONG time. Also, I have always wanted and have yet to own a gray kitty, but when I do, I will name him Dorian.

Slide into a Western

I'm with a couple of people from work. We're hiking through this wooded area. There is this rock/cliff thing that we are walking along. It's really narrow across the top with steep sides, so essentially it's a long way down on either side. There is this large, flat rock platform that we are standing on. It starts to shift and then it falls off one of the sides, with us on it.

Now off of the big rock, we tumble and slide through the pine needles on the forest floor.

Suddenly we're at this town that looks like it's right out of the 1800's western era. It's night time and everything is closed. We go into oen of the buildings. I realize that my tooth is lose.

I turn to one of the co-workers I'm with and ask, "Is it okay to have a lose tooth and not be like, seven?"

Then he says, "Maybe you should see the doctor?"

I walk into the doctor's office. There are about six men sitting around the table, just talking. I mention that my tooth is lose and the doctor (who kinda looks like the doctor from the episode "The Empty Child" from the show Doctor Who....the medical doctor not the doctor Doctor) I open my mouth and he pulls on my tooth.

I'm expecting him to pull it out, which I don't want, but instead he just pulls off the silver cap on my tooth, which I apparently have. I'm relieved that I still have all my teeth. The doctor wants to fix my silver cap in the morning, but I tell him I'm fine without it.

Then I meet up with the rest of the people and we leave.

The end (of the dream).

Toni is Fabulous!

So there was this big group of people I was with. We were then split into two groups depending on whether we were pro-LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, BiSexual, Transgender, Questioning) or anti-LGBTQ. I was in the pro-LGBTQ group, which is true. We were then required to participate in group exercises to make us see the other group as people. There was no right or wrong group, just to see everyone as people. We had to listen to 'anonymous' stories of trials that group members had gone through to see that we were more alike than different.

Then everyone was taken through this room where the walls, ceiling and floor were painted black. Light was then projected on everything to make it look like we were walking through stars and space. It was all cool and in 3-D.

Then I went down a waterslide.....apparently it turned into a pool party or something. When I got to the bottom there was this transvestite in a sparkly red one piece swimsuit sitting on the stairs. Her name was Toni and she was fabulous. I went over and sat next to her and we talked about LGBTQ stuff. I told her I was 'QueerSpawn' (which is a term used for children with one or more LGBTQ parents) We then just sat there and talked for a while. She gave me an awesome hug.

End of dream.

(sidenote, I actually am QueerSpawn in real life and am totally in the pro-LGBTQ group)

Alex O'Laughlin and the Talent Show

I was visiting a friend of a friend. This guy happened to live in the remodeled basement of an old barn. The upper part of the barn was mostly empty and the hay loft was rotted away. Up in the rafters was a large collection of stuffed large birds and raccoons. (Stuffed as in taxidermy) Along the wall were stuffed bears and a skinned rhino. (Like the BodyWorld exhibits, where the skin is gone and everything else is left for all to see) There were also some stuffed baby elephants. I was sad when I saw the baby elephants.

Naturally I was a little weirded out, "Odd collection." I said.

Alex O'Laughlin turned to me and shrugged, "It came with the barn when I bought it."

"If I was looking to buy a place and it was filled with dead animals, I'd have to pass." I said back.

He smiled and led us to the basement apartment.

In the apartment, it was very nicely refinished and decorated. It was obvious that Alex was uncomfortable having so many people over for a party. He was trying to make himself sound more interesting than he really was (He only looked like Alex O'Laughlin, he didn't have the personality) I saw him trying to hide a book about New York as he was telling someone how he lived there.

"Let me help you." I whispered and took the book from him.

"Thanks." He smiled.

I hid the book behind a shelf. Then I sat down on the couch with three other people, one of them being a saxophone player from High School. (Yes, I was a band geek) We talked for a while and then she said she had to get ready for the talent show. After she left I got up and wondered around. I don't know where Alex went.

I went to where all the chairs were set up in front of a small stage for the talent show. The talent show started. One of my friends from college had a group of three-year-olds on stage to do a cute little dance. The music started and the little kids got scared. She went on stage to show them the dance, but they ran off stage. I got up to help her try and encourage the kids to dance, but it just ended up being us two.

Then Curt and some of the other kids from the show 'Glee' got on stage and did some song and dance routine. (Point of interest, I don't even like the show, 'Glee' and have only seen one episode)

Then my alarm went off and I woke up and had to get ready for work.
