Alex O'Laughlin and the Talent Show

I was visiting a friend of a friend. This guy happened to live in the remodeled basement of an old barn. The upper part of the barn was mostly empty and the hay loft was rotted away. Up in the rafters was a large collection of stuffed large birds and raccoons. (Stuffed as in taxidermy) Along the wall were stuffed bears and a skinned rhino. (Like the BodyWorld exhibits, where the skin is gone and everything else is left for all to see) There were also some stuffed baby elephants. I was sad when I saw the baby elephants.

Naturally I was a little weirded out, "Odd collection." I said.

Alex O'Laughlin turned to me and shrugged, "It came with the barn when I bought it."

"If I was looking to buy a place and it was filled with dead animals, I'd have to pass." I said back.

He smiled and led us to the basement apartment.

In the apartment, it was very nicely refinished and decorated. It was obvious that Alex was uncomfortable having so many people over for a party. He was trying to make himself sound more interesting than he really was (He only looked like Alex O'Laughlin, he didn't have the personality) I saw him trying to hide a book about New York as he was telling someone how he lived there.

"Let me help you." I whispered and took the book from him.

"Thanks." He smiled.

I hid the book behind a shelf. Then I sat down on the couch with three other people, one of them being a saxophone player from High School. (Yes, I was a band geek) We talked for a while and then she said she had to get ready for the talent show. After she left I got up and wondered around. I don't know where Alex went.

I went to where all the chairs were set up in front of a small stage for the talent show. The talent show started. One of my friends from college had a group of three-year-olds on stage to do a cute little dance. The music started and the little kids got scared. She went on stage to show them the dance, but they ran off stage. I got up to help her try and encourage the kids to dance, but it just ended up being us two.

Then Curt and some of the other kids from the show 'Glee' got on stage and did some song and dance routine. (Point of interest, I don't even like the show, 'Glee' and have only seen one episode)

Then my alarm went off and I woke up and had to get ready for work.
